For remaining supported versions of Windows like version , Microsoft is planning to release the emergency patch in the coming days.

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. As I clearly said in my post, I have put all Cortana settings to off.

That doesn’t work. Please READ the post before responding. Thank you. You cant uninstall cortana. If you remove any files that the function needs, then win 10 returns it. You can also see whats going on in DISM. If there is some setting that windows dont like off, it will “update” again, to fix it. You can system restore to before the update, if you have that on, then use the MS tool to stop automatic update. Thats a temp fix. Note since downloading and trying to install it.

My desktop icons are blinking like a Christmas tree lighting. Also my desktop shrunk. I never would have posted here, knowing I’d get comments like yours, if I hadn’t already gone down the list and turned EVERY Cortana setting to off and double-checked that I’d turned every setting to off. When I am typing online–and only online–as I am doing now, the search screen continually pops up, requiring me to hit escape. I’m doing nothing to call for its help.

Good grief, leave me alone. Every day for the last week, you’ve hijacked my computer to install an update that won’t install. I get a message that tells me you’re going to restart my computer to install updates that will make everything “better.

If your updates won’t install, try fixing them before continuing to inflict them on people. Most of them just wreak havoc anyway. My system is working fine I’ve tried every way imaginable to uninstall and turn off this unbelievable nuisance because I work on this computer and it is interfering with my ability to do my job. But no. Your malware will not go away Please fix your bugs.

Otherwise, just leave me alone. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. As I clearly said in my post, I have put all Cortana settings to off.

I’m doing nothing to call for its help. I am simply typing on the laptop keyboard. Before you suggest it, yes, all the extra scroll and tap functions on the touchpad are also set to OFF. I shouldn’t require a system restore because it’s a brand new system. And the update has repeatedly failed. It tries to install at least once a day okay, Cortana just popped up as I typed “day” and my left hand wasn’t even touching the touchpad–just the letters d.

Since What’s the use of feedback and no one gets back to you. Also you get this thing asking you questions when you really need a real person. In reply to FastTypist’s post on July 19, She doesnt pop up if you disabled all “on” settings. Not just the one. You can see that in the CBS. There are alot of reports about the last update, and problems with the update doesnt end. Also, the update mess up your intra network function. It wount find your own PCs.

Note since this group of developers took over, there’s been problems after another. Bring back the old group. But I will try to stop the automatic updates; maybe that will solve one nuisance.

In reply to Virus Heat’s post on July 20, You are so right! Microsoft quality continues to decline, but as long as profits are up, it doesn’t seem to bother anyone.

In reply to FastTypist’s post on July 20, Sorry to have bothered you. Have a great weekend. My goodness, you didn’t bother me! I appreciated your comment. I meant that as long as Microsoft is profiting, they aren’t bothered by our problems with their dysfunctional programs. You have a great weekend, too! This site in other languages x.
